Jun 18 : Painting Loose Florals with Watercolor

In this class, you will learn how to set up your paint palette using watercolor by mixing unique colors and applying painting techniques such as wet-on-wet, layering as well as blending when painting your subject. Learn the basics and essentials of playing and exploring with primary colors to create a unique color wheel, paint everyday objects, fruits as well as understanding basic shapes of flowers. This class will help you to apply watercolors on paper and brush strokes needed to paint loose florals such as Dahlias, Tulips, Allium, Ranunculus and Muscari as well as leaves and fillers to compliment our florals. This class is suitable for beginners as we will also be covering basic color mixing and painting techniques to be applied when painting our loose florals.

Farah Bidin is a self-taught artist, educator and founder of Paintstobrushes who live in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. She started her creative journey on calligraphy. Her inspiration hugely inspired by nature and botanicals and the fact that watercolour allows her to capture the freshness of the blooms still blows her mind.
