Jun 25 : Painting 7 Florals (Gouache Workshop)

In this class you will learn how to set up your Gouache color palette by mixing unique colors and apply them either dry or wet when painting flowers. Learn to sketch lightly & loosely and apply painting techniques such as wet on dry and layering to paint 7 florals which are Craspedia, Lavender, Goldenrod, Lupines, Pampas Grass, Daisy and Cornflowers. In this class, we'll be painting on colored surface papers to highlight the opaqueness of this medium. Learn how I apply darker layers to highlight shadows and using bleed-proof white ink to further enhance the subject. This class is suitable for beginners.

Farah Bidin is a self-taught artist, educator and founder of Paintstobrushes who live in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. She started her creative journey on calligraphy. Her inspiration hugely inspired by nature and botanicals and the fact that watercolour allows her to capture the freshness of the blooms still blows her mind.
