May 28 : Painting Ocean Life with Watercolor & Masking Fluid

In this class, you will learn how to set up your paint palette using watercolor by mixing unique colors and applying painting techniques such as wet-on-wet, layering as well as blending when painting your subject. In this class we will be exploring Masking fluid medium to paint Ocean life creatures. Masking fluid is a resist medium you can use to create strong edged white areas in your watercolor paintings. At the end of the class, we will be applying all techniques learnt to paint our very own ocean life creatures such as Whale, Jellyfish, Starfish, Seashells and more for our class project. Suitable for Beginners.

Farah Bidin is a self-taught artist, educator and founder of Paintstobrushes who live in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. She started her creative journey on calligraphy. Her inspiration hugely inspired by nature and botanicals and the fact that watercolour allows her to capture the freshness of the blooms still blows her mind.
